How do I find my LD8 IP address?

Note: Where available Quantum should be used for all LD8 configuration. This article will detail locating an LD8 IP address using either Quantum or the terminal.

Locating IP address using Quantum

From the Quantum main screen go to Settings. Within SETTINGS the LD8 IP adress can be found at the top left of the page:

Locating IP address using terminal

Connect a serial cable from COM3 to a PC with VIO installed. The VIO program is part of the Verify-QC software suite which can be downloaded here.

Once successfully installed, VIO can be launched by going to Start > All Programs > Veripos > Verify v1.20 > Launch Vio

To connect to the LD8 go to Config > IO Join > New, set the IO Device as Serial, select correct PC port and set the baud rate to 115200 8 None 1.

Navigate to View > IO, right click inside the window and select Send Message. This will open the Send Message dialogue box. Enter log ipconfiga in the message field, tick the CR and LF boxes, and click Send:

The response should be similar to the below, displaying the IP address and subnet settings (preceded by ETHA, STATIC,) within quotation marks:
