How do I configure RTK Correction input for an LD8?

The LD8 is capable of utilising RTK correction data.

To input external corrections, it is required to issue commands to the unit to allow the input of an RTK source, configure the baud rate of input, set the port for decoding of correction data and to save the configuration.

The below commands demonstrate the configuration of COM1 for the input of RTK RTCM v3 data, with a baud rate of 115200:

RTKSOURCE AUTO ANY
SERIALCONFIG COM1 115200 N 8 1 N OFF
INTERFACEMODE COM1 RTCMV3 NOVATEL ON
SAVECONFIG

The table below shows the variables required to change for the desired RTK correction format:

Correction Format Command Variable
RTCM v2 RTCM
RTCM v3 RTCMv3
CMR CMR

The receiver should be configured to use either PPP or RTK, but not both at the same time.

If configured to use both PPP and RTK concurrently there is potential for position jumps between the two solutions, due to the receiver choosing the solution with the best quality position. If the two solutions are relatively close in accuracy but are in different reference frames, this could result in shifts in position. These position shifts would be equal to the difference between the two reference frames when the receiver switches between the two solutions.
