Hexagon | Veripos releases market-leading situational awareness functionality

Hexagon | Veripos is proud to announce the release of version 9.0.0 of its quantum visualisation software. This latest version expands situational awareness functionalities by adding jamming status and giving users a holistic, at-a-glance notification of interference to their positioning.

The update has a new feature where the software background turns amber when threatening levels of jamming or spoofing interference are detected. It can also send notifications directly to a vessel’s Bridge Alert Management software. Each of these updates will ensure users are alerted as quickly as possible to interference, enabling users to act immediately and save valuable operational time.

The 9.0.0 version includes the following updates:

  • Jammer status
    • Sidebar indicates when jamming is detected on L1 or L2 bands
  • Notification state for critical status’
    • Jamming and spoofing alerts will trigger a notification state for the whole display, in the form of an amber background.
  • Bridge alert management
    • Jamming and spoofing alerts can also be configured to directly send bridge alert messaging to communicate with a central alert management system. Messages sent are compatible with IEC standards 62923-1/2.

The “What’s New” document included with the software download lists all changes. Look for other improvements, such as GNSS configuration selection and secondary positioning information.

The latest v9.0.0 Quantum release is compatible with Veripos receivers LD900 (Firmware v6.0.0) and LD8 (Firmware v5.0.0).
